Simba Epicor ODBC Release Notes

The release notes provide details of enhancements, features, known issues, and
workflow changes in the Simba Epicor ODBC Driver 1.8.3.1001, as well as the  
version history.

This version of the driver supports the following data source versions and 
platforms (Note: Platforms included with a distribution may vary according 
to what has been licensed):

* Epicor Kinetic API version 2

* Windows 11, Windows Server 2025, 2022, 2019, 2016
* macOS 15 or 26
* Debian 11 or 13 (64-bit server), RHEL 8 or 10 (64-bit server), SLES 15, 
  Ubuntu 22.04 or 24.04

Enhancements & New Features

 * Updated third-party libraries

   The connector now uses the following third-party libraries:

   - OpenSSL 3.0.19 (previously 3.0.18)
   - LibCurl 8.18.0 (previously 8.16.0)


Known Issues
The following are known issues that you may encounter due to limitations in 
the data source, the connector, or an application.

 * When retrieving a few tables in PowerBI or attempting to sort data using
   certain columns, you may encounter the following error:
   ERROR [HY000] [Simba][Epicor] (100) Error parsing JSON: Invalid value. 
   while parsing string We apologize, but an unexpected internal problem 
   occurred. Please provide your System Admin or Technical Support this 
   Correlation ID for further details.

   This error originates from the Epicor server-side API and is not related
   to the ODBC driver functionality.
